My first published book was 'Catch the Moon'.
It's a kind of romantic book with a surprise ending and came out in 1989.
The following year, my next book 'Secrets'
was published. This is the story of a teenager with
anorexia and tells how the illness affects herself and her family.
Next was 'Ghost in the Mirror.' In this book the heroine, Jayce,
discovers her great-Grandmother's
diary and what she reads there changes her life for ever.
Then came 'Snowbird Winter' my first sci-fi
book. Two children find a mysterious object in their
loft and set out to discover what it is and where it came from.
There are lots more after these first four. For instance my 'Charlie'
books are the story of Charlie
Scroggins and how she copes with living with her rebellious mum, a feminist biker with
radical ideas that
Charlie finds it hard to cope with. Titles are 'Charlie in
the Pink' and 'Charlie on the Spot.'
Then there's 'The Night After
Tomorrow.' a spooky tale of werewolves and mysterious forest beasts.
'Dreamstalker,' a scary mystery story. 'Siren Song'
sci-fi again. 'The Shadow of August' is
another mystery story and 'Nowhere to Run'
is the story of Cassie and her friend, James,
and how they help each other cope with their problems. Yet another sci-fi is 'Starlight City'
[you can tell I love writing this kind of stuff] and just for a change, there's a romance
called 'Secret Love'.
I have also written a series of six books about the traumas [and fun]
of being a student nurse in a busy hospital. These are called 'St
Jo's Hospital.'
Two of my favourite books are 'Devoted Dogs'
and 'Heroic Horses' anthologies of true-life
animal stories.
Then, of course, there are the 'Just George'
series.
Six books about the favourite character from Enid Blyton's fabulous Famous Five series.
They are 'George, Timmy and the Haunted Cave'.
'George, Timmy and the Curious Treasure'.
'George, Timmy and the Footprint in the Sand.'
'George, Timmy and the Secret in the Cellar',
'George, Timmy and the Stranger in the Storm.' And last, but not least,
'George, Timmy and the Lighthouse Mystery.'
